• Natural gas hydrate, or clathrate hydrate, a crystalline solid composed of natural gas and hydrogen bonded water molecules, is formed at relatively high pressure and low temperature conditions.(1)Mechanical properties of gas hydrate deposit; (2)Instability of pipeline and seabed above gas hydrate deposit;(3) Method for exploitation of gas hydrate.

  • A suction bucket foundation is a closed-top steel tube that is lowered to the seafloor, allowed to penetrate the bottom sediments under its own weight first, and then pushed to full depth with suction force produced by pumping water out of the interior. A series of centrifugal experiments, numerical modeling and theoretical analysis on the dynamic responses of suction bucket foundation under ice-induced or wave-induced load were carried out.

  • It is practical to study the development of liquefaction because either to prevent liquefaction hazard or to consolidate sand foundations needs to understand the mechanism of liquefaction.
