Other AbstractThe uniformity of hardened layer is affected by dimensional intensity distribution and time of laser spots.Pulsed laser spots with 5 × 5 two dimensional array which have intensity proportions of 1∶2∶3,3∶2∶1 and 1∶1∶1 intensity distribution by optical transformation was used to harden Q235 steel.The effects of laser treatment on surface morphology,hardened layer shape,distribution of hardness and wear resistance of the Q235 steel were studied.The results show that the dimensional intensity distribution of laser spot affects uniformity of hardened layer to a large extent.The surface morphology,uniformity of hardened layer,uniformity of hardness and wear resistance of Q235 steel laser-treated by the array with intensity proportion of 1∶2∶3 are all better than that by the array with intensity proportion of 1∶1∶1.
