摘要A micromechanical model is developed to simulate the mechanical behaviors of discontinous reinforced composites. It is assumed that reinforcement alignment has been obtained during processing, and the analysis for a representive unit cell also relies on the assumption of a periodic array of reinforcements. The constitutive behavior of composites is studied to establish trends with the main variables of matrix and reinforcement. It is concluded that the flow strength of composites is strongly influenced by volume fraction, aspect ratio of reinforcement, and the strain hardening exponent of matrix. The predicted results are in general agreement with existed experiments and the numerical results.
