AbstractTo a kind of full aircraft flutter which is called bend-bend coupling flutter, mass parameter is significant to flutter boundary prediction. The characteristics of flutter should be investigated at transonic speeds. For this purpose, CFD simulation using Navier-Stokes equation and wind tunnel test was accomplished. To wind tunnel FL-26 in Mianyang, two full aircraft structure similar flutter models with different mass parameter were designed and manufactured using mixed structure of composite material and metal. We use the unsteady aerodynamic Navier-Stokes equations (hybrid mesh) code TRAN-FLUTTER to do CFD simulation for the characteristic of flutter at transonic speeds. The CFD simulation and wind tunnel test has a consistent trend, and the CFD simulation has enough accuracy. Combine flutter wind tunnel test with CFD simulation, a full aircraft bend-bend coupling flutter was validated.
