AbstractA CFD-based wind flow model and a hydrodynamic model were coupled to investigate the influence of in-homogeneity of wind field caused by local terrain on the surface flow in Lake Fuxian. And the results indicated that the surface flow directions and circumfluence in the lake showed some changes under the in-homogeneous wind condition. And different changes could be found in the northern and southern half-lake as different terrain conditions. These changes may to some extent affect the transportation process of mud and contaminant in the lake, and thus should be taken into account in precise modeling.
