Abstract

裂纹尖端的非弹性局部化变形将消耗能量从而增加材料的断裂韧性。这种局部变形通常通过局部塑性流动发生在一些固体材料中,比如在包含异质层复合材料的滑移界面处,或金属玻璃的剪切带里。局部变形机制及其发生范围对这些材料的宏观断裂性质至关重要。尽管对裂纹尖端的弱面或塑性带的增韧机制及效果的研究取得了巨大进展,人们仍然需要一个简洁有力的理论来预测上述情况下材料的宏观断裂强度和韧性。
